About

“We cannot build our own future without helping others to build theirs.” Bill Clinton

Overview

The problem of poverty can’t be solved by food aid alone; knowledge is essential to the effort. We strive to empower the world’s youth and instill in them the confidence that comes from knowledge by  providing much needed books and scholarships for edecuational and personal development.

Mission

Knowledge Aid is a simple name for a simple organization. We collect, sort, ship and distribute books to the communities we serve in accross Africa and Northern Argentina; While also providing scholarships to potential first generation college students who were or are refugees. Our Mission is to fully furnish 300 libraries across the globe and advance the education of 15 first generation college students by 2016! We hope you join us in our mission!

Description

For three years now, Knowledge Aid has been providing what we believe to be sustainable aid. We believe that knowledge is a key factor in transforming developing societies. Knowledge that comes from science books, for example, can demonstrate how to prevent erosion; knowledge from history books can teach future generations to never repeat the worst of times, and hold onto the best of times; knowledge from health books can promote hygiene and medical awareness to safeguard local communities; knowledge from literature improves global communication and preserves and celebrates the world’s cultures.

We also understand that with education comes freedom so with our scholarships, we are helping people who otherwise may not be able to afford school, acquire the education that could very well take them far in life. We believe that by helping each student, they will be able to apply the knowledge that they have acquired to aid themselves and their communities.

Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.
